The game

Icaion is an Engine Territory Building, Resource Management eurogame, and Velkhorne is a simulated opponent, allowing you to play Icaion solo. Each turn, Velkhorne will act based on its Action Cards, deny your access to Qoam crystals, and direct the parasites: all to make your life and mission harder.

 

Meet Velkhorne

When operating Velkhorne, you will never have to make a decision “as if playing against yourself”.

Each turn you will know one of two ways Velkhorne plans to hinder you, allowing you to plan ahead, giving you the same feel as playing against a competent opponent in multiplayer would.

Key Features:

  • Velkhorne doesn’t collect, he steals. He does not collect Curio cards, Qoam crystals, Shards, and Apparatuses. Instead, it discards or removes them from the game. You will have to be skillful to avoid being stumped in your gathering of resources.

  • Velkhorne owns zone. Each city node has five associated Regions - 1 of each type. These five Regions are collectively known as its zone

  • Velkhorne spreads corruption He doesn't just remove things you may want, he can also add wicked parasites in regions you are interested in.

  • Challenge Cards The game experience can vary each time thanks to the Challenge Cards. The more cards you add, the tougher it becomes to overcome your enemy.
